In an in-depth confession about this, Sotiris Lamai went on tonight’s episode of Survivor on Sky, talking about the difficulties he encountered in his life, the financial problems he faced and his son who is on the autism spectrum.

“Sotiris Lamai was born in a village in Albania, in Fieri, Albania. A child with five other siblings, a large family. We came to Greece in 1990. I was almost 5 years old, we crossed the border on foot. I have very few memories as a child. We struggled a bit then. We also accepted racism and many other things, but I had a very nice foundation from my family and my parents,” he initially stated.

We received a lot of love, we wanted as people to progress, to evolve with respect, with dignity, with children and principles. I am a person with a very strong personality. I’ve always been, from the age that I understood who I am and what I can do with my life, I’ve always been very imposing. My presence never went unnoticed.”

“I started playing football in many teams. At the same time, I was working in construction with my brother. My hands have bled hundreds of times. That is why sometimes when I say “I am Lamai” it is because if someone can walk my path, he will understand that what I say is little compared to what I have achieved in my life”, he said.

“At the same time, I started working at night in shops. I have worked as a waiter, a waiter’s assistant, I have also worked as a waiter. I have done everything. Those who have suffered a lot in their lives and come from poor families have done a lot of work to choose what they really want to do. I started and worked two days, when I didn’t have races, in a shop door, I started in Aegaleo. Then I spent many years in Piraeus in Mikrolimanos. I am well known in general in Greece, those who know about social media, know”, he said, among other things, to then talk about his son, who is on the autism spectrum.

“I have a child who is on the autism spectrum. For 6.5 years now, Angelos and I have been fighting a big fight, it’s a marathon for me. He is the love of my life. I am very close to seeing my Angel as my wife and I have dreamed of,” he said in an intense emotional charge.

“A lot of stress with my son, not having a house, I had a rental, he sold it, he didn’t tell us anything and suddenly he says “you have to find a house”. Where can I find a home? We had no money, we had nothing. My wife was looking at me and crying. I was like “what am I going to do?”. Help from nowhere. I worked 20 hours a day, to get 60 euros,” he added.

“Your life goes by and you say ‘was I then?’ Myself. I couldn’t feel my legs, at work 20 hours. To succeed it takes patience, again and again. God is great, he has for all of us.”
