In tears, Ivete Sangalo vented about the electric trio and said that she considers it a farewell to the Carnival group in which she has participated for years on the Barra-Ondina circuit, in Salvador. After incidents during the Coruja block this Monday (12), she became emotional when talking about the events with her fans.
“This is filling my heart with anguish,” he said. “Isn’t today our farewell to Owl? Don’t we have to rethink this?”
Ivete’s speech took place after a carbon dioxide tube exploded and left two people injured on top of the singer’s trio. At another point in the parade, the singer had to interrupt the show to prevent the trio, which was tilted, from falling over. Guests who were on top of the vehicle were instructed to move to the other side, to counterbalance the weight.
“I’m not a singer who joins the trio and f*cks everyone. I don’t want that. This isn’t doing me any good”, Ivete said. “Yesterday, we went out and everything was fine, because nothing happened. Today, things happened.”
She also lamented technical problems that had occurred in previous days, including an hours-long delay. “On the first day of our Carnival, it was delayed. Maneuver there, maneuver here. The wheel on our support car unlocked. If I could, I would get off, load it and brake it. But I can’t do that. I had to obey the rules of the universe that made the horse let go”, he explained.
