Former supermodel Naomi Campbell was photographed wearing a protective suit and a $3,000 Burberry scarf at an airport, so her desire to look great while staying germ-free is no secret.

She followed this up with her first collection for Boss, creating comfortable clothing with an antibacterial finish, a nod to her microbiophobia.

She teamed up with the German label for a collection inspired by her “fast pace of life”, which includes 40 pieces from suits to jumpsuits priced from £60 to £745.

“These are the kinds of pieces that reflect my own lifestyle” Campbell said in an exclusive statement to the Guardian. “Always on the go, always ready for the next adventure, but never compromising on style,” she added.

However, having worn Alaïa slides and posed in a winged Valentino cape on the Met Gala steps, it’s surprising that her first collection for the house is aimed at those who travel and includes practical clothes.

As the Guardian reports, this year will be an important one for Campbell. In June, the prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) will host ‘Naomi’, an exhibition of over 100 iconic creations she has worn by the likes of Alexander McQueen and Gianni Versace. It is noted that this is the first time that the museum will hold a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the career of a model.
