Sharon Stone reveals that producer pressured her to have sex with actor to ‘save’ film

Sharon Stone, 66, spoke about an abusive situation she experienced in her career. In 1993, producer Robert Evans pressured her into having sex with co-star Billy Baldwin, the actress reported.

The two were a romantic couple in the film “Invasion of Privacy”. At the time, the producer called Sharon to talk to his office and advised her to have sex with her colleague to try to “save her film”, since Billy’s performance was poor. The actress told the story on Louis Theroux’s podcast.

“He called me into his room and started explaining that I should have sex with Billy Baldwin because it would improve his performance as an actor and give the couple ‘chemistry’ on screen, which could ‘save the film’,” said the actress.

“Suddenly the problem with the film was me, because I was too straight, and not a real actress who could just have sex with the actor and get things back on track. The problem was with me because I was too inhibited,” she continued. .

The actress also said that she even suggested other actors to replace Billy Baldwin, such as Michael Douglas. “I wouldn’t have to have sex with Michael Douglas, because he could just rehearse, work and shoot the movie,” she said.

Sharon had already told the story in her autobiography, but without naming names. According to her, her response to the producer was: “do you think that if I have sex with him, that will turn him into a good actor? Nobody is that good in bed,” she recalled. “I wish they would just hire a talented actor, someone who could memorize the text and deliver a scene,” she said.

The actress said she told the film’s owners to screw themselves and leave her out of it. Despite being considered a box office failure, “Invasion of Privacy” grossed US$280 million. Producer Robert Evans died in 2019, aged 89.
