The impressive village of Mani that starred in international cinema

by

In Lakoniki Mani, hidden between vertical imposing rocks and magnificent Mani turrets, there is a beautiful blue-green beach that starred in international cinema and made many wonder about its location.

Alipa beach belongs to the local community of Exo Nymfaio and is the port of Mani. In the past, when the road network was non-existent in these fraudulent places, this beautiful natural port with the small pier, served the sea transport with Gythio and consequently with the port of Piraeus, with the old sailing vessels, sailboats and καΐκια.

In the 80’s Alypa became famous through the shooting of John Cassavetes’s film, Tempest, while in the only tavern on the beach several years later the shooting of a well-known commercial for Greek television took place.

In the beautiful creek of Alipa, the all-white pebbles, the crystal clear waters, and the solitary mansions, flirt daily with the moods of the weather, but as the refreshing sun makes its appearance and spreads its bright color, then everything becomes magical.

The tranquility of the place and the magic of nature that prevails, can easily be characterized as paradise … an earthly paradise with Mani aroma and exotic colors, which captivates at first glance and is automatically placed in a prominent position in the heart of all those who were lucky to be found even for a while in his arms.
