Tadeu Schmidt says that BBB 24 was the most intense he has ever presented: ‘It reached a dangerous limit’

In his third year as presenter of Big Brother Brasil, Tadeu Schmidt states that BBB 24 was the most impetuous edition he has led since taking over the Globo reality show, in 2022. It was 100 days (completed this Tuesday, 16th, the day of the grand final) that yielded content until the last week, something that rarely happens.

In an interview with F5, Tadeu took stock of the program. Considered calm and patient with the participants, the presenter states that he feared the way things were unfolding in the house, especially during the fight between Davi Brito and MC Bin Laden — the production even intervened to separate them and the presenter He scolded both of them live.

“This year was intense, they played a lot and this often reached a dangerous limit”, he assesses. “There were a lot of emotions, inside and outside the house. A good reality show will always be difficult for the production, because we chase a story that the participants write. So, the denser it is, the more difficult it is, the better for the viewer.”

Tadeu evaluated his own performance leading the reality show. Criticized at the beginning, the journalist found his tone throughout the season and was praised in recent weeks on social media. The presenter says that experience and maturity in the format came with time.

“Each program is different, there is no formula”, he comments. “With this, you add experiences. I get involved and have fun too, in the same proportion. This is my third season and I can say that it was very intense. So I use a little of everything that has already happened to add, that gives me helps in conducting the BBB.”

The presenter avoids talking about Davi’s favoritism in the final. For him, the program can always bring surprises, at any time in the dispute. “As much as we have an idea for the week, know what the expected dynamics are, it’s impossible to guess what the participants will do with it”, he comments. “That’s the coolest thing, but also the most challenging thing about reality.”

Among the participants already eliminated, he insists on defending Beatriz Reis, Bia do Brás. In recent days, the former market stallholder has been criticized for her very exaggerated personality. Even though he called his attention several times at the house, Tadeu says that he already expected this type of behavior based on the information he already had before.

“No [me incomodou], not at all”, he states. “We know each one of them very well. The team conducts many interviews, sometimes years pass before they are chosen, when they apply more than once. It was already expected that she would be this carousel of emotions.”

BBB has changed Tadeu’s life a lot since he took over the program. His routine is to try to stay 100% aware of what is happening. And not just him. The presenter reveals that his family also follows the reality show a lot.

“I am 100% immersed in the program the entire season, I sleep and wake up with the participants”, he says. “My routine with my family changes a lot during the 100 days, in terms of schedules, obviously, but my wife and daughters are fans of the program. They immerse themselves in the world of BBB along with me, and have a lot of fun! It’s really cool to be able to experiencing BBB in this way, being work and fun at the same time.”

Unlike the other two years, Tadeu Schmidt will not return to the air only in January 2025 in a new project on Globo. In July, the presenter will participate in coverage of the Paris Olympic Games. “I take a vacation and, when I return, I have Central Olímpica, together with Fernanda Garay. I’m very excited to return to the world of sports, which I love, in this new venture!”, he celebrates.
