Netflix has announced that filming has begun on the action film Ad Vitam starring the French actor and director, Guillaume Canet.

The script is co-written by the star himself with Rodolphe Lauga and David Corona, while he also undertakes part of the production together with Jean Cottin through the company “Cabanes”.

Directed by Rodolphe Lauga, it also stars Stéphane Caillard, Nassim Lyes, Zita Hanrot and César winner Alexis Manenti.

The famous actor plays Franck Lazareff, who after a failed assassination attempt must find his wife Leo, who has been kidnapped by a group of armed men. According to the description of the film, in his quest to find her, he discovers that his past is chasing him.”

Filming in Paris and Versailles will last until June 20. As Deadline reports, the movie “Ad Vitam” is expected to debut exclusively on Netflix in 2025.
