The series of radio documentaries presented by Aris Portosalte with guest Mr. Konstantinos Koliopoulos is dedicated to the life of Napoleon Bonaparte. In the four shows that make it up, we will follow his journey from the French revolution to his coronation as Emperor of the French.

He is a controversial personality who was a brilliant general, politician, defender of freedoms, reformer and also the soldier who bled the whole of Europe.

In the broadcast of Sunday, May 19, we heard the second part of the series of broadcasts about Napoleon. Aris Portosalte’s discussion with Mr. Konstantinos Koliopoulos, in the first part ended with the description of the European space at the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century and in the second part they started their discussion with Napoleon’s acquaintance with Josephine. They then referred to the French Campaign in Egypt which was done to protect French commercial interests where it was an attempt to undermine British access to India which was the jewel of the British crown. Love, marriage, coronation, separation and the political developments of the time were among the topics discussed in this second part.
