In an interview with Arab NewsSerafi spoke about the symbolism behind this elaborate garment that took over 950 hours to complete, using traditional techniques by Jordanian artisans.

“The colors used reflect the four colors of the Jordanian flag: red, green, black and white, paying homage to rich Jordanian traditions (and) celebrating the country’s vibrant culture,” said the designer.

“A deep, intense red color was chosen for the look which represents the Hashemite dynasty, which is associated with power and passion, embodies royal authority and conveys love for the land.

As reported by Vogue Arabia, it is the first official public appearance of the crown prince and Princess Rajwa since the palace announced that they will welcome their first child in the summer.
