Close to completing five months of pregnancy, Iza said she still hasn’t bought a piece from Nala’s trousseau. She has already received many gifts, but has not yet gone shopping.
“I’m organizing what I want, but taking it very calmly, enjoying one day at a time, because it’s a rollercoaster. The beginning of a pregnancy is fire,” she told F5 this Wednesday (12), at the 31st Brazilian Music Awards.
Iza says, however, that the pregnancy has been much calmer than she expected and she plans to have her daughter vaginally. But if she doesn’t, that’s okay, she says.
“I think everything will happen at her own time. I’ll try to make it a natural birth, but if it isn’t, that’s okay. I’m not creating too many expectations, because I know that many things happen and they don’t just depend on my will.”
Participating as one of the musical attractions of the awards ceremony, which takes place at the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, she was chosen to sing “Imunização Racional”, by Tim Maia, the night’s greatest honoree. Iza spoke about the singer, who died in March 1998.
“For me, he is the father of Brazilian soul and R&B. An artist who inspires us all. It is a great honor to be accompanied by so many incredible people and still sing a song of his that I love so much”, said Iza.
