It ended with an excellent evening Survivor, the ultimate survival game! In a packed specially designed venue, the audience remained riveted from the start of the broadcast until the grand winner was announced, Daniel Nurka.

However, the television audience also remained tuned in, watching with undiminished interest the amazing matches between the three finalists Daniel Nurka, Katerina Dalaka and Fani Boletsi.

The one and only Giorgos Lianos, with undiminished humor and amazing jokes, presented the grand final for five whole hours, which was watched, even for 1′, by 1,889,752 viewers, keeping the game in first place in the television viewing area in its broadcast zone with a percentage of 17, 7% in the general population and 16.9% in the dynamic audience (18-54).

#SurvivorGR is at the top of the trends in “X” for the last two days. Characteristically, before the start of the final but also twelve hours after, it is at the top with more than 25,000 tweets.

Survivor is the game of upsets and this was proven in the final as well, when Daniel Nurka, who had come third from the semi-final, managed to win with a sweeping streak against Katerina Dalaka and Fani Boletsi.

The highlights of the evening were many and among them we saw Giorgos Giulekas receiving the car and also the double winner of Survivor, Sakis Katsoulis, returning to the game to share his experience from the battle arenas with the audience and to comment the matches of the finalists.

The first fight between Katerina and Fanis was decided in the replay, foreshadowing the dynamic course of the final. Katerina was the first to clear the 7 lives with the winner being decided between Fanis and Daniel. Daniel was unstoppable and managed to get the win against his friend.

As the ultimate Survivor of the year and holder of the trophy, Daniel Nurka said:

“I’d like to start with a round of applause for both guys we played. Especially to my friend, Fanis. As I have said before one day does not define us as to how good a player we are. A game doesn’t define us when we’re nice guys, good people. It just so happened that the day was mine and I won! I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who is here, whether they are mine or not, you have filled us with so much energy. We needed it.

I dedicate it to myself because I did it, to my friends, to my parents because they are the real Survivors of life. So the title rightfully belongs to them more than to me just throwing hoops… I want to thank all my old teammates, I couldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them to pick me up when I fell. I have no words.”
