Sophie Charlotte and Xamã were among the most talked about topics on social media this Tuesday (2) for the simple fact that they went together to the APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) Awards ceremony in São Paulo. She was awarded, he applauded her, filmed her, took pictures. She smiled, they looked at each other, whispered in each other’s ears, spoke the typical language of lovers. But there was no kiss.
Paparazzi have been trying to get some photos of this moment, but the two still avoid showing much affection in public — even though they have been going to parties and events in Rio for over a month. On June 12 (Valentine’s Day), they attended the Brazilian Music Awards at the Municipal Theater, where Xamã was one of the attractions. He sang “Eu Amo Você” (yes, that’s right), by the night’s honoree, Tim Maia.
Before performing, Xamã stood on the main balcony. From up there, he didn’t take his eyes off the audience, with his attention focused more precisely on the left side, not so close to the stage. That’s where Sophie was. They both left at the same time, but in different cars. The night was still just beginning.
From there, they headed to Casa Julieta de Serpa, a French restaurant on Flamengo beach, in the south of Rio. They weren’t alone—there was a group of friends waiting for them. They all sat at a large table that had about ten seats. They laughed, ate, drank, and had fun.
Last Wednesday (26) Xamã and Sophie arrived hand in hand at the launch of rapper TZ da Coronel’s new album, “Direto da Selva,” at a beach club in the Leblon neighborhood. They asked not to be photographed, and the singer spent much of the night with his hands on the actress’ waist. Also there was Juan Paiva (a castmate in “Renascer”, where he plays João Pedro).
Rumors of an affair between the two began in March, shortly after Xamã’s name was linked to another castmate: Mell Muzzillo, who plays Ritinha. Sophie was separated from Daniel Oliveira, but had not yet publicly announced the breakup. In April, the two spoke succinctly about the end of their eight-year marriage.
Wanted by F5, Xamã did not comment. Sophie Charlotte, however, informed through her manager that she does not comment on her personal life.
