The hearts of the hundreds of thousands of readers of the worldwide travel magazine “Travel and Leisure” were conquered by Milos in the voting that ended a few days ago.

In particular, the American travel magazine Travel+Leisure has just published its lists of the best of 2024 (World’s Best Awards).

More than 186,000 travelers and magazine readers took part in this year’s survey and voted for their favorite islands in the world, taking into account activities, attractions, natural beauty, beaches, food and local hospitality, among other things.

Milos collected 93.08 points (out of 100) from the magazine’s readers.

In the same vote, Crete took 2nd place, h Corfu and the Ionian Islands in 6th place, in 10th place was Paros and in the 15th place Santorini.

Milos: The whole “package” without the crowds

As Travel+Leisure reports, the island of Milos has the whole package of pristine beaches, whitewashed houses and lovely tavernas that you can find elsewhere in the Aegean, but with fewer tourist crowds than famous islands like Santorini or Mykonos. .

“Milos was beautiful and much less crowded,” wrote one reader. “The food was great and there was plenty to see and do. Everyone was very friendly and we liked it.” Another reader agreed about the excellent food and noted that despite its small size, Milos has “a variety of beaches to offer.”
