-Was there anything that made it difficult for you in your role?

“Yes, there was. The character I play speaks gypsy and I had to learn this dialect which was something difficult. Think that sometimes after shooting I would go home and continue to talk gipsy to my friends. It stuck with me.”

-Did you know success early on, did you ever feel like you were “shopping”, your mind was blown?

“Let me tell you something, I may have escaped somewhere, because sometimes it is difficult to control everything that happens, why it is and how others treat you. In other words, you go to a public service and they treat you differently, but I have realized that nothing is a given.”

-Were there periods when the phone didn’t ring for work?

“Sure! There were periods when I knew early on what I would do next year and others when the summer ended and I didn’t know what would happen. It was something that definitely stressed me out. The truth is that the actor is stressed both when he is working and when he is not working. It takes a strong stomach to endure this job.”

-Have you had to get on the board and play while experiencing a loss?

“Yes, when I lost my best friend Thomas Protopappa, it was the most difficult moment in my life. Fortunately, the other colleagues protected me at that moment.”

-For a while you were the first subject on the covers because of your personal life, is that something you miss?

“No, it’s just something I didn’t aim for. But when you are in a relationship with a woman who is at the forefront and one of the best at her job, it is a given that it would happen. If I were to sell coffee in Karditsa in a village, they would deal with my relationship”.

-You mean Natalia Germanou…

“Yes sure”.

-Were you tired of all this chasing with the paparazzi when you were a couple with Natalia Germanou?

“Yes, it tired me, because there was an exaggeration in the whole situation.”

– Is starting a family in your plans?

“So far I have not had the desire to start a family. Right now I still feel like a kid. I really admire my partner’s children anyway, who is a very good mother, she has a very good family.”

-Now how do you keep your personal life out of the public eye?

“Okay now I’m paying attention and maybe my personal life isn’t that interesting.”
