Anna Koutsaftiki wrote her own farewell to the series that made her famous throughout Greece
The series “Do not start moaning” ended after 11 consecutive years and “Xenia” starred in 7 of them with her “Babi” as the couple from Thessaloniki. And the goodbye was not easy for any of them.
THE Anna Koutsaftikis she took her time and shortly before starting filming for the new VIP series Happy Old Years, she said goodbye to her former TV home in her own way.
“There are many days when I felt the need to write something about the iconic series of my heart-our heart, to express my great gratitude for the wonderful people-now my friends and collaborators who were in front of and behind the cameras , to talk about my Xenia, my Babis, my Sofoula, about the 7-year trip to our beautiful Thessaloniki, a trip of a lifetime… and I kept putting it off… I kept putting it off and wondering why.
I know why now.
It is one of those times when words are few, poor to describe the feelings…the images, the experience, the meetings, the bonding, the laughter, the crying, all that some beautiful people experienced, who met for to share their lives and try honestly and sincerely to share joy in turn.
To many other beautiful people, who needed her… because we all need the joy, the smile, the warmth, the relief, the feeling of carefreeness, the childlike mischief – especially in the times we live in – and the murmur distributed these open to all ages. It was a big hug for everyone – the hug of grandma-grandpa, mom-dad, child, young people…
Murmoura – the longest-running comedy series on Greek television (11 years of airing) – was a big hug… for everyone.
“Don’t start murmuring” forever…forever…in my heart…in our heart”
