Singer Melody, 17, suffered an accident on the Dutra highway, near the city of Barra Mansa (RJ), this Saturday (20). She and her team were in a van that left São Paulo towards Rio de Janeiro, to perform a show in Madureira (north zone), when the vehicle was involved in a pileup.
On social media, Melody showed what happened to the van. “Thank God no one died, everyone is fine,” she said, showing the damage to both the front and back of the vehicle. “A bus came up behind us, we were fine, stopped, and look what happened. I’m in a lot of pain, in my back, in my head, all my fingers hurt.”
The singer also showed the rescue, carried out by an ambulance that took her to a nearby health unit. “I’m already here at the hospital, just doing a check-up, because I was in the back, which is where it hit,” she said. “But everything is fine, everything is calm. I’ll be on my way soon and doing the show.”
After confirming that she and her team were out of danger, Melody returned to social media to say that she would still perform the show, scheduled for tonight. “I’m here to reassure you that everyone is fine,” she said.
“We suffered a little pain or two, but everyone is fine now. We had a check-up, x-rays, nothing was broken, and in a little while we’ll be at the hotel getting ready to put on a show for you, because that show is going to happen, yes!” he said.
According to the singer’s press office, it was all just “a scare”.
