Taylor Swift and Post Malone are the artists with the most nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2024 with their collaboration, the song “Fortnight” makes history.

THE Swift for the second year in a row, it dominates the VMAs nominations, claiming awards in ten categories.

The song of the singer-songwriter “Fortnite” has secured eight nominations, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects and Best Direction. Taylor Swift is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Pop Music Video.

Rapper Post Malone is nominated in nine categories. Like Swift, Post Malone is nominated for Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Visual Effects and Best Art Direction for “Fortnight.” The rapper is also nominated in the category of Best Collaboration for the Billboard No.1 song “I Had Some Help” which he performs with country singer Morgan Wallen.

Ariana Grande she received six nominations, with her song “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” to contend for Video of the Year, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Editing. He also received nominations in the categories of Best Visual Effects for “The Boy Is Mine” and Artist of the Year.

Sabrina Carpenter is nominated in six categories including Artist of the Year and Best Pop Music Video. The “Houdini” lead single from Eminem’s comeback album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), garnered six VMAs nominations with the rapper up for Artist of the Year and Best Hip Hop Music Video.

As with last year’s event, the public can vote in 15 gender-neutral categories. The public can vote at vote.mtv.com until August 30. Voting for Best New Artist will remain active until September 10, the day of the awards ceremony at the UBS Arena in Elmond, New York.
