After betraying Iza, Yuri Lima is dismissed by Mirassol

The cheating scandal involving player Yuri Lima and singer Iza still reverberates in the athlete’s life. Mirassol, the team where he played, decided to terminate his contract three months before the end.

According to the club, the dismissal has to do with technical performance. Yuri had not been used by the coach since the affair with the singer broke out. “The club and the athlete reached an agreement,” says the team.

Days after Iza revealed that she had been cheated on during her pregnancy, her fans invaded Mirassol’s social media to ask for his removal. The betrayal was confirmed by Lima, who said he regretted it.

At the time, Mirassol, which plays in the Série B of the Brazilian Championship, stated that the controversy involving the player and the singer and the bad repercussion of the case did not affect any sponsorship partnership and that there was no threat of investors leaving the team.
