Dimitris Bruchos, poet, lyricist, writer and communication consultant, has passed away.

The deceased was born in Thessaloniki, graduated from the 2nd Gymnasium-Lykeio of Thessaloniki and continued his studies in London and New York. He worked for many years as an independent communication consultant and was secretary of Popular Education with responsibility for issues of People with Special Needs.

He appeared in letters in 1977 with the poetry collection “In the passage of time”

Its lyrics were set to music by composers such as Mimis Plessas, Yiannis Spanos and Giorgos Hatzinassios and sung by well-known singers.

He was awarded at the Thessaloniki Greek Song Festival, in which he participated for many years and was also a member of the organizing committee.

He was awarded 5 times with a gold and as many times with a platinum disc and received many awards for his contribution to culture.

Condolences for his loss were expressed by the mayor of Naoussa, Nikos Koutsoyiannis, as the deceased had written the oratorio for the Holocaust of Naoussa and TIF-Helexpo.
