Fausto Silva, 74, was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo this Thursday (15). F5 found that the presenter’s arrival at the unit scared some people who were in the same hospitalization sector of the unit, a wing, including, close to where Silvio Santos, 93, has been hospitalized since August 1st.
Luciana Cardoso, Faustão’s wife, says that the situation is not a cause for concern and that he was taken to the hospital for routine treatment. “He goes twice a week. Everything is according to his routine,” the businesswoman explained in an exchange of messages. The former Band and Globo employee was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night and remained there until early Friday afternoon (16).
The presenter underwent a kidney transplant in February, and since then he has been hospitalized periodically for regular checkups to check if the transplanted organ is functioning properly. In August 2023, Faustão underwent a heart transplant.
While Faustão’s hospitalization is not surrounded by mystery, the same is not true for Silvio Santos. The owner of SBT is being kept under protection so that no information about his health is leaked. The broadcaster’s press office even announced that the communicator would only undergo imaging tests. However, the businessman remains in the unit.
This is the presenter’s second hospitalization in less than a month. In mid-July, he was also at Einstein treating a case of H1N. Silvio was discharged, but returned 10 days later. The hospital is not commenting on the case or releasing bulletins at the request of the family.
THE F5 found out that Silvio arrived at the hospital complaining of fatigue and, as a precaution, the doctors decided to do new tests. They then discovered a bacteria. For this reason, the presenter started taking a cycle of antibiotics and only one of the medications tested had any effect. The patient’s health status is protected even internally at Albert Einstein. Not even the doctors and nurses on duty in the emergency room have access to the patient’s medical records.
Silvio, who was admitted under a name other than his baptismal name, Senor Abravanel, to avoid access to information about his health, is hospitalized in an area with restricted access. His grandson, Tiago Abravanel, said that he had not yet visited his grandfather in the hospital. “It is super restricted. Obviously the family is taking care of him, but thank God he is doing very well and is being looked after by all the doctors,” Tiago said during the launch of Preta Gil’s autobiography this Wednesday (14), in Rio.
