Privacy is a priority for the couple in John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s home. Parents of four children aged between one and eight, the musician and actress said they lock their bedroom door to keep their children out at night.
“The problem is that they come knocking on the door every night asking to sleep with us,” the singer, who is releasing an album of children’s songs, told People magazine. “I say, ‘No way, you can’t come to our bed every time you have a problem. Go back to your rooms,'” he said.
On social media, the singer celebrated the release of his new album, “My Favorite Dream.” “It’s a true labor of love, inspired entirely by my wife and our children, the family tree we’re all part of and that continues to grow,” Legend wrote.
“I hope my children and yours find inspiration and comfort in these songs. And that they can fall asleep (please!) and dream their favorite dreams,” she added.
Legend, 45, and Chrissy, 38, had three of their children through IVF and their youngest via surrogate. The age gap between Esti, who was conceived through IVF, and Wren, who was conceived via surrogate, is just five months.
Chrissy, who lost a baby in 2020, has spoken publicly about her struggles to become a mother. “I always dreamed of having four children. At some point early on in our surrogacy journey, I left a therapy session and said to John, ‘I want to try to get pregnant just one more time. If it doesn’t work, we’ll be fine. We’ve seen the worst,'” she said.
