Anitta’s six-minute performance during the NFL halftime show on Friday (6) left a lot to be desired for the singer’s fans. On social media, even those who usually defend the artist were disappointed with the show.
Wearing a red top and pants, Anitta opened the show with “Envolver”, followed by “Bellakeo” and a medley of her most recent funk songs. With more than thirty dancers on the lawn, the singer tried to create a visual effect in the stadium.
On Bluesky, however, some fans said they were unhappy with the final result. “Honestly, Anitta, either you start turning things down to dedicate yourself and do it right or you’ll continue to embarrass yourself. Put rice and beans on that plate you have, babe. Wake up to life,” scolded a fan, identified only as Caio.
Another fan, named Hannah, said she was a “little bitch” of the singer, but also criticized the show: “It was terrible. I don’t know if her return was bad, but the show was really bad. I’m a fan of Anitta, I’m a little bitch of Anitta, I think she’s the greatest. But the show was bad. And she’s going to feel that.”
“Oh guys, can I say something? Maybe my expectations were high for Anitta, but playback and a mess in choosing the playlist at an event as big as the NFL? Seriously?” complained fan Henrique.
Internet user Bianca also commented: “I didn’t like the show, no. It’s been a while since I’ve been following Anitta. She had a very unique funk-pop style, but now she seems so generic, that if you shake a tree, 10 foreign singers exactly the same will fall out,” she assessed. Fan Gisele was succinct: “Anitta’s performance didn’t go very well today.”
There were also those who defended their idol. Netizen Mateus celebrated the singer’s achievement: “Say it with your velvety voice: Anitta, the first Brazilian to perform during the NFL halftime show. She’s the greatest!”
“I didn’t think it was as bad as people are saying,” pondered internet user San. “What bothers me about Anitta today is that I don’t know any of her songs anymore,” she added.
