Actor João Guilherme, 22, arrived early to the VIP area of Rock in Rio, this Saturday (14), on the second night of the festival. It was around 6:30 pm when he – more than just arriving – made an appearance in the space.
João, Bruna Marquezine’s current boyfriend, 29, and a pioneer of the “men in cropped tops” movement, outdid himself this time. Everything was oversized in his look, from the white t-shirt to the flared denim shorts, not to mention the Balenciaga boots, which could have been worn by an Eskimo. This Saturday (14), Rio had one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures above 40 degrees.
With wool lining, calfskin details and a tractor sole, they cost around R$15,000. “They are warm, heavy and big,” admits the young man. “They are not very functional. I don’t think this trend will catch on, they are more for wearing at a festival or something like that,” says the fashionista.
Wearing Fendi sunglasses and a green scarf from the French brand Goyard around his neck – which occasionally went over his head, in a peasant style that is very trendy – he appeared in the VIP area with two friends/advisors, and only agreed to talk about the clothes he was wearing. “Wouldn’t it just be about the look?”, asked the advisor/friend when asked which band he most wanted to see.
João then had dinner in the dining area where the other guests were. He ate guacamole without using a knife and his left hand held his cell phone the whole time. He ate and checked messages and posts on Instagram, all at the same time.
