This Sunday (15), Taís Araújo arrived at Rock in Rio especially to record content for a makeup brand. Confirmed as the heroine Raquel in the remake of “Vale Tudo”, she is evasive about the soap opera: “You have to ask them. I see the same speculations as everyone else”, she says.
In addition to Taís, Bella Campos’ name has also been linked to the soap opera. Bella is considered to play Maria de Fátima, the role played by Glória Pires in the first version. The speculation was that Taís was insisting internally that the actress from Cuiabá take the role.
“I don’t even know about myself, how am I going to know about Maria de Fátima? I don’t even know if I’m going to do it. People think I have a power at Rede Globo that I don’t have. I’m sorry, I would love to have it, because I’m a person who likes it. But I don’t,” says the actress.
Recently, Taís spoke out on her social media about the allegations of sexual harassment against former minister Silvio Almeida, with whom she had been on a few occasions.
“He didn’t come to my house. I know him, I’ve read his books, but he never came to my house, no. I think the government did what it had to do and acted quickly. But it’s interesting to see that an aggressor or an abuser doesn’t have a face, doesn’t have any education, anyone can be one. It’s not the one we look at and point out,” he says.
“What most amazes me about all this is how much women continue to be discredited. Even if there are 50 women against one person, they are always doubting and questioning women,” she adds.
FREE, TAÍS
Minutes before speaking to the press, she faced an awkward situation at the stand of the brand she was working for. “Free yourself, Taís,” shouted the audience, who had been in line for over 40 minutes to get the gifts made available by the brand, but had to leave the stand so the actress could record the content.
“We have an action at a festival, it goes viral, everyone comes to get it. Then, when they get there to get it, the stand is closed. And this is a party for the people, right? I went there, asked them to let me record for five minutes, please, and they started saying ‘let me go, Taís’. I let me go”, said the actress.
