‘Love Is Blind 4’ Contestant Apologizes for Lying About an Open Relationship

“Casamento às Cegas Brasil 4” contestant, Alexandre Thomaz told his followers that he lied about an open relationship with Renata Giaffredo. He stated that the story was made up by his ex-partner during the cast reunion episode and that he went along with the idea. “I was taken by surprise. Later I understood and continued with this story, which I shouldn’t have done. I’m apologizing and retracting my statement,” Alexandre began.

The businessman admitted to having had a crush on the Netflix reality show, but the relationship didn’t go very far outside. “The marriage lasted two weeks. We realized that we were more friends,” he explained, claiming that he hadn’t seen Renata again. “Only a year later, at the cast reunion, did she talk about the open relationship, which didn’t exist.

Alexandre also accused Renata of having been influenced by an advisor. Last month, the lawyer spoke out on social media, claiming that she had been deceived and disrespected by Alexandre, which led to the end of their open relationship. “They put [a situação] against me, because the program is aimed at a female audience, so I would be the ‘asshole male”, he lamented this Wednesday (18).

He also said he believes it was used to create a fanfic and attract engagement. “The show has a predominantly female audience, so obviously it would be left to me. I was always very close to her and I embraced this lie during the reunion to avoid embarrassment, but the truth is that there was never an open relationship between us.”

Hours later, Renata Giaffredo posted a video of the two giving details of their “lighter and more modern” relationship and wrote in the caption: “He still says he didn’t know anything.”
