BBB22: Celebrities criticize Jade’s ‘charity’ argument for permanence

by

Celebrities such as actor and comedian Felipe Neto and the champion of Big Brother Brasil 9, Max Porto, criticized the argument that Jade Picon used in his defense to stay in the house of BBB 22. The influencer, who is on the wall this week with Arthur Aguiar and Jessilane, said in his defense speech on this Sunday’s live program (6) that if he won the game, he would donate the prize received.

“I really want to stay. This has been the best experience of my life by far. […] I played myself, I have faced everything with great courage, I have been very consistent with my game, without fear of anything. It would be, above all, a dream for me to be able to use all this experience of mine as a vehicle to help thousands of people winning the prize and donating R$ 1.5 million to five different Brazilian institutions”, she said, declaring her supporters as “Out Arthur.”

Outraged by the participant’s defense, Felipe Neto published a video on his Instagram profile saying he was “Fora Jade” and that “charity as a bargaining chip to win a program is unacceptable”.

“I was on the team that was like that, in the third way. But after Jade’s 30-second speech, it’s impossible for me not to be Fora Jade. The point is simple: you don’t use charity as a bargaining chip. The program wins. You win the program, don’t tell anyone, and then you donate, say you donated if you want to encourage other people…”, he says in the video.

And he continued: “Now, from the moment you use charity to win a program, where you know you’re going to earn much more than a R$1.5 with advertising, it’s one of the lowest things I’ve ever seen. […] It’s one thing for you to say you’re going to donate an award before starting the program. Another thing is you have 30 seconds to defend yourself and use that as a reason to let you in the house. That’s using charity as a bargaining chip.”

Some personalities, such as the presenter Rodrigo Magal and the Bragantino player Artur Victor Guimarães, supported Neto’s opinion in the comments of the video. Most surprising, however, was the comment by Leo Picon, Jade’s brother.

“I agree 100% with you. I think insecurities and nervousness make people act in troubled ways.. I strongly disapprove of her attitude, but I know it doesn’t reflect her character and real intentions” [sic]wrote the brother.

Also on Instagram, presenter Sonia Abrão published the video of Jade’s defense and commented: “Actually, [ela] you do not need that [prêmio do BBB] to help anyone for 3 reasons: she is rich, earns a lot as an influencer and has already won more in advertising, within the BBB itself, than the value of the prize! In other words, it doesn’t depend on being the champion to dedicate yourself to a noble cause! In addition to appeal, it is cowardice against most confinement colleagues, who are also supportive, but cannot give up the prize, because they need the money to turn their lives around “.

Max Porto, who won the reality show in 2009, posted a video on his Instagram in which he appears shaking his head in disapproval, with the comment: “Use the possibility of donating the prize to charities to get away from a wall? What an ugly young lady. That’s not how you get a BBB.”

In response, presenter Ana Paula Minerato commented: “I thought it was forced too… even because we are in the vote to stay not to win”.

On Twitter, former BBB20 Flayslane also stated: “People talking about donation at the time of defense is too opportunism, sorry, horrible in my point of view, I don’t applaud this attitude as I never applauded, Jade appealed”.
