Rock in Rio announced this Tuesday (8), International Women’s Day, that September 11 will have an essentially female program. On the Mundo stage, pop singer Rita Ora and rapper Megan Thee Stallion are among the confirmed attractions, joining Dua Lipa and Ivete Sangalo.
On the Sunset stage, directed by Zé Ricardo and known for his partnerships, Liniker invites Luedji Luna. In the same space the show Power! Elza Vive pays tribute to Elza Soares, who died in January of this year. The presentation brings together Alcione, Majur, Agnes Nunes, Caio Prado, Mart’nália, Gaby Amarantos and Larissa Luz in a presentation.
At Sunset, Ludmilla and Macy Gray had also been announced.
Postponed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival, which would take place in 2021, had to be rescheduled for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of September 2022, at the Olympic Park, where it takes place. the City of Rock was set up.
The New Dance Order and Espaço Favela stages have not yet had their schedule, but, according to the organization, the lineup will be composed of women. For the festival, Dia das Delas is a way to celebrate the female power in the history of music.
Last week, Rock in Rio also confirmed that ticket sales for the general public will start on April 5, at 7 pm, for R$ 625. There will be pre-sales for Rock in Rio Club members and Itaú customers from of March 17th.
The 200,000 tickets put up for sale on September 21 last year sold out in record time: 1h28. In the 2019 edition, at this stage, tickets ran out in about two hours.
For R$545, Rock in Rio allows fans to buy without knowing the entire program and then choose the festival days they want to go. Selection can be made until April 1st.
