Away from Hollywood since the first accusations of sexual abuse, rape and cannibalism emerged three years ago, Armie Hammer (38) decided to return to work. The actor (38) launched a podcast this Monday (28) and said that the project is to “rebuild his own life” after the episodes that shook the career of the actor, one of the protagonists of the film “Call Me By Your Name” (2017).
In the first episode of “The Armie Hammer Time Podcast”, the actor recalled the case. “I’m not going to lie, I actually like cannibalism now,” he told Tom Arnold, a guest in the first episode. “The accusations are what shock the most. What makes the most noise? ‘Armie Hammer is a cannibal’ or ‘Armie Hammer may not be a cannibal?”, asked the presenter.
The actor, who also starred in the films “The Social Network” (2010) and “The Lone Ranger” (2013), added: “The cannibal thing is more successful, and the world doesn’t give you the right to apologize. For For example, someone says something about you, everyone believes it and follows it, because they have their own lives.”
He also recalled having spent a long period of silence while the police in Los Angeles, United States, investigated the allegations. The material collected was later considered insufficient for a formal complaint against Hammer, who is experiencing financial problems. Recently, the actor announced the sale of a car because he was unable to pay for gasoline.
On the podcast’s official profile, called “The Armie Hammer Time Podcast”, the call also plays with the controversy of cannibalism: “Armie meets with extraordinary people from all walks of life while rebuilding his own. Don’t worry… we feed you before each episode.”
Hammer was on an upward trajectory when his career began to unravel following the allegations. He lost several jobs and the case even won a documentary “House of Hammer: Family Secrets” originally produced by Discovery+.
The first accusations against Hammer were published on Instagram in 2021 by an anonymous profile posing as one of the actor’s ex-girlfriend. She said the artist had sent explicit texts about cannibalism, rape fantasies and wanting to drink her blood during their four-year relationship.
In January of this year, Courtney Vucekovich reported that he had fantasies linked to cannibalism. Soon after, influencer Paige Lorenze also accused Hammer of being violent.
