YouTuber Felipe Neto is the godfather of the NGO Ficam Sabendo in the popular category of the Social Entrepreneur Award 2024. Represented by journalist Maria Vitória Ramos, the initiative is among the six finalists of the 20th edition of the competition promoted by Sheet and Schwab Foundation, which recognizes leaders in social innovation in the country.
“They do an extraordinary job of using the Access to Information Law to reveal information and documents that are generally hidden from society. The idea is to reduce the power imbalance between the State and the population”, says Felipe Neto.
“In addition to all this, Ficam Sabendo organizes training, databases and other tools so that citizens like you and me can monitor and hold public authorities accountable.”
This Friday (1st), the YouTuber released a video on Instagram in partnership with the newspaper’s profiles, asking for donations to the NGO through the MobilizAção platform, at Folha.com/plataformamobilizacao2024, where it is possible to learn about and support its work and from other organizations.

The initiative that mobilizes the largest number of donors and the one that raises the most resources between October 11th and November 8th will be awarded on November 12th in a ceremony at the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo, when the nominees by the jury will also be announced.
For every R$1 donated, Ambev will donate another R$1, up to a limit of R$30,000, and will offer another R$30,000 distributed among the finalists who get the most donors. The proposal is to encourage the culture of donation in the country.
“The law of access and transparency are the guarantee of all other social rights. No organization is capable of meeting all the needs of the population, only the State. We make it deliver what it has to deliver to society”, says Maria Vitória Ramos, co-founder of Ficam Sabendo.
Among the other finalists in the Social Innovators of the Year of the Social Entrepreneur category are Belterra Agroflorestas (startup that restores degraded lands with agroforestry systems), Trampay (fintech that offers digital accounts for delivery people) and Letrus (startup that developed a school writing program based on artificial intelligence ).
In the Solutions that Inspire category, Revolusolar (NGO that combats energy poverty with solar installations in favelas) and Super Nina (startup that combats sexual harassment in urban transport) are competing, as well as Ficam Sabendo.
