The exchange of insults between Tuca Andrada, 59, and Jojo Todynho, 27, has been going on on social media for some time, but it was only recently that the actor exposed a direct message he received from the singer in October. In the message, the champion of A Fazenda 12 (2020), on Record, calls him a “roadside actor” and questions whether he has plans to return to act in a soap opera. Tuca’s last production was “Amor de Mãe” (2019), on Globo.

Jojo wrote: “You’re going to take it inside your eyes until it leaks, don’t you have any soap operas to do? Little roadside actor.” The message would be a response to Tuca’s comment about the news that Jojo had been removed from the guest list to model for a clothing brand at São Paulo Fashion Week. “If I say that I feel a ‘taste’ for this to happen, what time will people start to spread that I am racist and misogynist?”, said the actor.

Tuca Andrada was responding to a print about the news that the Meninos Rei brand had stopped collaborating with Jojo after the singer got involved in political debates and was criticized for her approach to politicians who made speeches contrary to the rights of the LGBTQIAPN+ community. At the time, the brand justified its withdrawal by claiming that it did not receive the singer’s exact measurements in time to make the fashion show’s clothes.

On a social network page, Jojo defended himself against Tuca’s exposure: “He attacked me and I reciprocated.”

Recently, Jojo decided to remove the hit song “Arrasou, Viado”, released in 2018, from digital platforms. The movement occurred during the same period in which the funk singer began to be associated with figures linked to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the which provoked negative reactions from several public figures, including Xuxa Meneghel, who expressed her disappointment with Jojo’s change in stance.

Jojo didn’t stay silent. She responded to Xuxa, referring to the presenter as a “privileged white woman” and saying that she had “no morals” to criticize her. “So, Xuxa, I say directly to you and to all the other people who are taking sides on one side without understanding the other: if I had any attitude, it was because something was done to me. And also don’t talk about me if you didn’t take steps my nail flip-flops”, countered the influencer.
