Tiago Leifert calls Bruno Gagliasso the ‘canceller of the Republic’ and the actor sends a hint

by

Tiago Leifert once again criticized Bruno Gagliasso in a live broadcast on his YouTube channel last Monday (4). The journalist and the actor have been exchanging barbs on the internet since Leifert was criticized for his comments about the player Vinicius Junior at the 2024 Ballon d’Or event.

Leifert said that Gagliasso had refused to participate in the live and expressed his indignation with the actor. He accused the businessman of using the matter to promote himself and cited the launch of the series “Os Quatro da Candelária”, which arrived on Netflix on October 30th.

“We will observe from now on if every time Mr. Bruno Gagliasso – who ‘popped up’ and didn’t accept the invitation to come here – is going to cancel someone, is going to take on this role of ‘general canceler of the Republic’ and start pointing out the finger someone, if he is also, this same week, promoting a new series or film, or if it was just a coincidence”, said Tiago.

This Wednesday (6), Gagliasso shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), which was pointed out by internet users as a hint at Leifert. In the content, a woman reports that a driver hit the back of her car and she, instead of accepting help, left the scene. “I don’t have that time. I don’t have that ballast of energy,” she said. The actor republished the post with the caption “!!!”.

The confusion began when Leifert said that Vinicius Junior should have gone to the Ballon d’Or event even though he knew he would be defeated by Spaniard Rodri. In Leifert’s opinion, it would have been “absurdly cool” if Vini had appeared, with his chest out, looked the judges in the eyes and ironically applauded the decision to take the title of best player in the world from him.

However, artists spoke out against the journalist’s opinion. Gagliasso wrote a message for him in a publication: “Quiet is a poet.”

Later, he even spoke about the subject on X. “He [Vini Jr] He won because his absence is more eloquent than any presence at that event. He won because he made the whole world look at a brutal erasure attempt. He won because his teammates embraced his idea. He won because, once again, he is the executioner of racists,” wrote Gagliasso.
