Preta Gil undergoes new surgery after pain in the pelvis region

Preta Gil, 50, used social media this Friday (8) to say that she had to undergo a new surgery. After feeling severe pain in the pelvic region, she sought care from doctors, who are supporting her treatment against bowel cancer. The team then decided to operate on her and discovered that the singer had kidney problems.

Gilberto Gil’s daughter made a point of explaining to fans what had happened. “I underwent tests and discovered that I had kidney stones, which caused my catheter to become blocked. Preta, who even said that she blamed herself for bowel cancer in an interview, commented that the surgery took place around 5am this Friday and reassured her fans. “I’m fine and without pain. Thank God. We had to stop chemotherapy, but it won’t make any difference in the treatment. Everything is fine”, explained the singer, who even brought forward the announcement of her medical discharge. “I’m going home on Monday (11).”
