Manuscript lyrics by John Lyndon, songs of Sex Pistols will be sold at auction. In 1977, Lindon – also known as Johnny Rotten – wrote the lyrics to two Sex Pistols hits, ‘Holidays In The Sun’ and ‘Submission’, on a single sheet of paper when creating the band’s one and only album ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’.

The sheet of paper with Lindon’s handwritten lyrics will be auctioned by RR Auctions, which has an estimate of $30,800 but could fetch as much as $80,000.

The lyric ‘A cheap holiday in other people’s misery’ is written in the top corner, suggesting it may be a last-minute addition.

Also up for sale in the same RR Auction ‘Marvels of Modern Music’ auction is a copy of the ‘With The Beatles’ album signed by all four band members, a signed copy of Queen’s ‘A Night At The Opera’ album and a guitar by Prince.

Collectors can also select photographs from the collection of rock legend photographer Barry Feinstein, members of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and guitars by Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton and Richie Ramone.
