Luana Piovani arrived in Brazil to see her eldest son, Dom, who is living with his father, Pedro Scooby, in Rio de Janeiro, and surprised her followers by showing off her “girlfriend” on social media. While socializing with some people in a bar, she introduced her companion. “Guys! My wife, the protagonist of my stand-up”, he began.
Piovani continued to pique his followers’ curiosity: “You’re being introduced, everyone wants to know who your girlfriend is,” he joked. Then, the two almost kiss on the mouth when greeting each other (“Oops! almost a kiss, wow”, she jokes). The presenter had fun revealing that the “girlfriend” was, in fact, a longtime friend. “Girlfriend is because ‘girlfriend’ in English is also best friend, a much cuter version.”
The best friend in question is Bebel Lobo. Also an actress, Bebel is the daughter of two MPB icons, Edu Lobo and Wanda Sá, and sister of fellow musician Bena Lobo. She and Luana met behind the scenes of the soap opera “Sex Appeal” (1993), on Globo, and never left each other apart.
They acted together in the plays “O Pequeno PrÃncipe” and “AMIGAS (Associação das Mulheres Interessadas em Gargalhadas, Amor e Sexo)”, with a text based on the book of the same name by Claudia Mello.
Currently, Bebel works as a casting director and is producing Michel Melamed’s new program, Polipolar Show, for Canal Brasil, scheduled to premiere in 2025.
