Tom Selleck is preparing to close a major chapter in his career as the hit crime drama series “Blue Bloods” comes to an end after 14 seasons. The beloved actor will say goodbye to the famous role of Frank Reagan in the last episode of the series, titled “End of Tour”, which will be shown on December 13.

In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Selleck recalled the holidays he spent with his family at his personal oasis, a 65-acre ranch in California. It is noted that the ranch was once home to 1,500 avocado trees, but due to drought there are very few left. However, it remains the focus of the actor’s family memories.

“We’ve had a ritual at the ranch for years” Selleck said. “It’s an old hunting lodge, built in 1910. The whole family—my siblings, my mom and my dad—we’d open presents in the living room and then we’d all have dinner together. However, now that has changed. My parents are no longer with us and my siblings had children and now they have children too. Now we’ll have to rent a room to fit everyone in!”he added.

Despite the changes, Christmas retains its special meaning for him, his wife and their daughter. “We’ll probably spend some time at one of my brothers’ houses, but mostly it’s an opportunity for personal, family time”he emphasized.

The famous protagonist in January will say in the eighth decade of his life. However, when asked about his birthday plans, he replied: “Absolutely none. I try not to count. I stopped celebrating a long time ago.”

She has stated that she has no plans to retire from acting, although she currently has no specific projects in the works. “I joke that I am ‘unemployed’, but the truth is that I am waiting for the next step.
