A possible romance between Amado Batista, one of the icons of Brazilian romantic music, and model Calita Franciele, holder of the title of Miss Universe Mato Grosso 2024, has aroused people’s curiosity this week. Just one photo, with no identified author, and published by journalist Léo Dias, was enough to create a furor on the internet.
In the image in question, the 73-year-old singer was seen smiling and holding hands with the 22-year-old Miss. So far, neither Calita nor Amado Batista have taken a stance on the topic, leaving it open whether the novel is real or web fiction.
A possible confirmation of the romance would have been made, in one of the comments, by the singer Roberta Miranda, a friend of Amado Batista. “I met her. Wonderful, friendly. She was officially announced as a candidate for Miss Universe Mato Grosso on June 28, representing the city of Campinápolis, where she currently lives with her family.
She competed for the state title with 20 other misses and was crowned winner on July 28, beginning her journey to the national stage there. In the final of Miss Universe Brasil 2024, which took place on September 19, in São Paulo, Calita did not qualify in the first cut, out of 13 semifinalists, and also did not win any special prize. Before this year, there is no record of Calita in other Miss pageants.
