Her Demy were invited to “Studio 4” by Nancy Zampetoglou and Thanasis Anagnostopoulos on the occasion of the premiere of ERT’s new series “Maria po harira Callas” this Friday on the ERTFLIX platform. And from the beginning, the two presenters told her that for all the years they have known her, she always looked very serious and perfect.

“I think I always felt older than I was. At the same time I see my age and I don’t recognize it, it’s a strange thing. In other words, I can already see that the number has increased and I say “it can’t be ruled out, some mistake has been made”. But I always felt more mature than my age, from a child” said Demy initially and continued:

I am not always as serious as I seem but I have always had a very strong sense of responsibility. So that shaped me since I was a kid. I realized that later and I still understand the ways in which it has affected me, but my parents always told me that.”

-You wanted to do everything right?

“I’ve always tried and I have the good kid syndrome, diagnosed. It’s that effort to get everything right, whatever that right or perfect might mean, because it’s never objective, it’s what you’re trying to achieve as perfect and keep everyone happy at the same time. I am constantly trying to change it and have improved it a lot. It’s a burden for sure. You must first think about what you want and recognize it”

-Have you started doing things that only you want?

“Yes, little by little. It’s a slow process. One step back, two steps forward”

-When did you say no, I don’t want to do this…

“In a way I’ve said no enough over time. Somewhere I found the courage to do this”

-You are every parent’s dream girl but I feel like you didn’t wrinkle enough….

“It’s very difficult for me to do it and I’m trying. Because I feel like when you protect yourself so much people don’t know you in… depth. Some parts of me that the world has known are true and honest, but there are others”

-Are you left to your personal life?

“I try to be correct but I make mistakes and I have accepted it. In general, I think more about others and in the end… It’s a big conversation.”
