Madonna credits the images to artist Rick Dick, who creates amusing and disturbing montages on the internet. In the “clicks”, the singer and the pope appear embracing in a romantic way, as if they were a couple at a party.
In one of the images, the Pope has one of his hands on Madonna’s waist and his face pressed into her hair. In the other, he appears to be sniffing the singer’s neck. “Weekend gone,” joked the queen of pop in the caption.

It’s unclear whether this was the tool that artist Rick Dick used to make the pope and Madonna make out. But AI has been spreading across the internet in recent days, with montages involving celebrities, politicians and anonymous people in every type of context imaginable.
