The new year for Happy Traveler begins with an exciting trip to Southeast Asia, to the lush green Cambodia.

In Part 1, on Sunday January 5, our travelers begin their tour from the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. In the “jewel of Asia”, they visit the beautiful Botum Square and continue to the Royal Palace and also the Royal Square outside the impressive Victoria Gate. They go to the National Museum, which is also the leading historical and archeological museum of the country, get on traditional tuk-tuks and reach the Independence Monument. They walk to the Russian market which is a busy place full of people and you can find clothes, food and souvenirs. Their next stop is the genocide prison and execution grounds where they learn the history of Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge rule and the civil war in the 1970s. They reach the Hill Temple which is the tallest and most important temple in the capital of Cambodia. Finally, they visit the old market and the bustling night market with stalls and delicious street food.
