Andréa Beltrão greatly celebrated Fernanda Torres’ victory at the 2025 Golden Globe as Best Drama Actress. The interpreter of Sueli in the series “Tapas e Beijos” (Fátima was the name of Fernanda’s character), on Globo, shown for five seasons, said she was moved by the recognition of her friend’s work in the film “I’m Still Here”, by director Walter Salles:

“I’m so happy for her. I’m immensely happy. She was hot, hot and wonderful.” She also praised Fernanda’s speech: “It was powerful. Fernanda spoke in a way full of dignity and loving”, said Andréa, who laughed when saying that she received several compliments this Monday morning (6).

“It’s funny that I went to do my ordinary life at the beach — swimming, running and playing ball — and received many congratulations,” he said in an interview with GloboNews. She recalled the partnership the two had in “Tapas e Beijos”: “The public doesn’t forget.”

For Andréa, the award represents a moment of joy after difficult years for the artistic sector: “It’s very strong for us to see a country happy because of an actress. Even more so after so many difficulties that the cultural sector has experienced due to the pandemic and a destructive government. It is a day of ecstasy”.

She also said that she had already spoken to her friend: “She said that she is in a parallel universe. She is in another galaxy. It must be very impressive for you to be there among those people you always see in the movies, you know who they are and what did”, said Andréa, who highlighted the relevance of Eunice Paiva’s plot. “It’s a story very much ours, which has to be told and remembered”, he explained.

Andréa ended the interview by highlighting the impact of Fernanda Torres’ achievement in Hollywood on the recognition of Brazilian cinema. “What a good day! It’s like seeing Rebeca Andrade win a medal”, he said.
