Emily Baldoni made a loving statement to her husband, actor and director Justin Baldoni, accused of harassment by actress Blake Lively.
“Happy birthday, my love. Celebrating the man, husband and father that you are. I would choose you again and again”, she posted, who until then had not spoken out amid the controversies.
Baldoni is on vacation in Hawaii with his wife, whom he married in 2013. They have two children: Maiya, 9, and Maxwell, 7.
In December last year, it was revealed that the actress was filing a lawsuit against Baldoni and the main producer of the film “That’s How It Ends”, Jamey Heath, accusing them of sexual harassment and orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her.
The director also sued The New York Times for publishing the allegations made against him and his team.
The following month, the actress, who was sued for US$ 400 million — around R$ 2.4 billion, at the current price — by Justin, responded to the accusations made by the director of the film “É Assim Que Acaba”, starring she.
“This is an old story: a woman speaks out with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation and the attacker tries to turn the tables on the victim,” she said in a statement from her legal representatives.
