Trans actress of ‘They for them’ announces the end of their career: ‘Being despised is worse than being hated’

On the day of trans visibility, actress Maria Clara Spinelli, 49, announced her retirement of theater and television. She became known for the roles of Renée in “They for them” (2023) and aims at “The Force of Want” (2017).

In an outburst published on social networks, Maria Clara said she has been suffering from contempt and is violated.

“There are things we need to do and are bigger than ourselves. It’s a fury. A holy fury. And it’s this fury that sustains me. Being despised is worse than being hated. Therapy is also a mourning process. That you think it is for the person you can become, perhaps.

“I am always pleasing to others. And to please others, I need to be raped. And I don’t want to. I don’t want it anymore. Today, a woman’s actress is retired. Today, a woman dies.
