During the weekend, the public worried about the health of Ana Maria Braga, 75, who was stung by a scorpion on his foot on his farm in Botucatu (SP).
Live on Mais Você (Globo) this Monday (3), the presenter gave more details and said she felt the greatest pain of her life.
“What a fright. If they knew how much it hurts. It’s one of the most painful things, and I’m not fresh,” he said during his show. According to her, the incident happened on Saturday (1) at night. She claims she was inside the house watching a series in the dark when she decided to go to the bathroom and stepped on the animal.
“Everything was clean and on the way I was barefoot. I thank the hospital. As much as we hear, when we happen we don’t know what can happen if there is poison,” he said.
Ana Maria was treated in about 40 minutes by the doctors of the hospital and had no more complications despite the pain that lasted 24 hours. She took an injection in the foot to recover.
“What happened to me is more common than we imagine. There were 183,000 cases in Brazil in 2024 and 149 deaths. And in 2023, there were more than 200 thousand cases. I was very scared, at the time comes a lot of things in the head . “
On social networks, she still made a joke about the situation. “Bringing a scorpion bite is the same billet at the end of the month: it appears out of nowhere and hurts in the heart.”
