Mc Jottapê, 24, announced the end of his career as a funk singer. At a show held in Sao Paulo this Saturday, he surprised the audience by revealing that this would be his last presentation.
“I have an ad to do. What you just saw here, family, was my last presentation,” he said.
Mc Doni’s interpreter in Netflix’s Tuning series, Jottapê thanked the fans and explained the reason for his decision. “For a long time, I ran behind everything: money, fame. I got all this, but I felt a huge emptiness inside me that did nothing. And, thank God – my heart is even accelerated to speak – today I no longer have This emptiness, “he said.
Then he left the stage and returned using a track with the message: “I don’t live me anymore, but Christ lives in me.” In the background, he started playing a gospel song. The singer knelt, thanked and ended the show.
Jottapê did not disclose what their plans are for the future.
