A rare first version of the book “Harry Potter and the philosophical stone”which was to be thrown away, was sold at auction for more than £ 21,000 (25,000 euros).

According to the BBC, the book was auctioned by NLB Auctions in Paignon, England on Saturday, February 8th.

The director of the auction house, Daniel Pierce, found it among the possessions of a man who has passed away in Brixham, who was intended for the trash.

Said the price is ‘Absolutely logical for a first -hand -held book’noting that this one was from the printing of the first 500 copies and also among the 300 distributed in public libraries. The spelling mistake in the back of the book was one of the things that helped him recognize it as a first edition.
