There is something magical on the radio. Something you can’t touch, you can’t see it, but you feel it. It is that familiar voice that keeps you in the evenings, the song you hear by accident and makes you the day, the conversation that makes you feel that someone is talking to you directly.

On February 13, we are celebrating World Radio Daya day dedicated to the medium that keeps us connected, even when everything around us changes.
Radio: Our first love.

Do you remember those children’s afternoons with the transistor on the terrace? Those nights you were looking for on FM, falling on a show that fascinated you? The radio was and remains a loyal friend. It travels you with words, tunes, stories.

Some of us grew up with his sound playing in the background, either from our father’s car or from mom’s kitchen. Some have fallen in love with radio broadcasts. Some found solace in a voice that spoke to us in a difficult time. And some were recording our favorite songs from it by finding a little- or more- every time the producer spoke on the song (just to prevent writing …)

Radio today can withstand time

At a time when everything is digitally made, where images flood our screens, the radio remains there. It changes, adapts, goes to the internet, becomes podcast, but its essence remains the same: it is the voice that does not need a picture to touch you.

Radio producers are not just presenters. They are narrators, companionship, bridges between people who share the same emotions, even if they do not know each other.
They are the ones who put the right song at the right time, those who will give you a power conversation in a difficult day. That will let you know what is happening to the world from the most serious to the most unlikely.

A big ‘thank you’

This day is dedicated to all these people behind the microphone. To those who wake up dawn to tell us the first “good morning”, to those who are laughing, who are moved, who put their souls in every show.

And of course, it is also dedicated to us, the listeners. Because the radio would not exist without us who love it and let it always have space in our lives.
Happy birthday, favorite radio!

You; Do you have a favorite radio memory? A voice that kept you company? Share it with us!
