Christina and ADA flew from Athens and from there they headed by car to their destination, which is a dream farm between mountain peaks. Goats, donkeys, pigs and of course large “bearing” dogs. Do you think of anything better?
We certainly not. The well-known designer has a huge weakness for her daughter Ada, who adopted with her partner- then- Johnny Kalimeri from Uganda.

Speaking of her daughter’s adoption and her separation from John, she has said:
“From my first trip to Africa I felt a connection. I can’t describe it. In previous years I said that I didn’t want to have a kid and that I was fine. But my need for adoption was born there. That is, I was saying that “I want to have a child from here”. There were many times when I was bent and I think the most difficult times I’ve ever had had been there. But I want to say that I never bent over my purpose.
The thought never went through my mind, “what work I have here now”. But there were many times, especially towards the end of the adoption process, which I really thought I would jump out of the window from my despair. I think if I didn’t have John in my life at that time it wouldn’t be the same. In fact, I have never said it but he was the man who really supported me mainly and supported me this dream.
He is probably the first person I had told him that I had this thought in the back of my mind, from the beginning of our acquaintance. He had told me “go together and I’ll be here”. And she was there and she’s still talking about her dad.
The hardest part was to explain to ADA our separation because this little kid had many changes in a very short time. But I believe he is learned in changes. It made us very difficult for both of us, it was our first thought. Not for us, for the child »
