A week after the bodies of Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa were found at the couple’s home in the New Mexico state, investigations detected a small gas leakage at the scene.

The 95 -year -old actor and the 65 pianist were found by a service provider. She was lying on the bathroom floor and he, in a hallway. The dog’s dog also died.

The state gas company concluded that a report has detected leakage on one of the stove, but that the gas represents about 0.33% in the air, which is not enough to be fatal. According to Variety magazine, the report will be sent by the investigators to doctors.

The company would also have encountered problems at four other points of the house: in the water heater and three gas log lights.

Sheriff Adan Mendoza said last week that the bodies of Hackman and Arakawa showed a negative result for carbon monoxide.

The last record of activity in the pacemaker used by the actor of “Operation France” was on February 17, nine days before being found dead. The bodies already showed signs of decomposition and mummification.

The couple’s routine involved physical activities, pedaling by the city, going to supermarkets and painting classes.
