One of the best known Brazilian models today in the fashion world, Vivi Orth decided to position himself on social networks about the presence of influencers in the parades of São Paulo Fashion Week. According to her, she decided to give an opinion after being questioned by several acquaintances: “So, requested opinion is an opinion given,” he began.
Vivi specifically cited influencers Juliano Floss and Luisa Perissé, who participated in the parades and caught the eye – especially Luisa, who viralized earlier this year with “TRAP DO TRAPA TREPA”. The model pointed to the responsibility of the marks and directors of casting for the choice of names and criticized the lack of respect for the profession of model.
“When you are invited to participate in a parade, not a model, the least you have to do is respect this profession,” she said, posting a video of Juliano Floss on the catwalk.
Vivi Orth questioned the influencer’s stance: “This boy’s speech is already problematic in itself, because I couldn’t understand which character he was trying to play. When a casting director will pass the catwalk with us, he says that you have to emit – in this case, a strong image, a firm floor, face the camera well. And I think he got lost there.”
He then criticized the actress and influencer Luisa Perissé, daughter of Heloísa Perissé. Vivi shared a video in which Luisa appears behind the scenes saying, “I think it has to be nothing, because there is no worry.”
The model firmly countered: “You have to worry, yes, because this clothes there … The model had to work, the whole production team had to work. It’s a lot of people to have no concern when stepping on the catwalk.”
Vivi also commented on another influencer who complained of tiredness even before entering the parade, because of the size of the catwalk: “If you are already tired before you even enter the catwalk, what are you doing there, my love? You have so much girl who wanted to be in your place. You know what it is to put a book under your arm and run this whole city, taking the bus, to get a space that you got?”
Finally, she vented about the future of the event: “I think it’s time for the people of the event, the brands, to really rethink. It’s all about engagement? Brands, do you want to call influencers to give the desired engagement? Remember that without models, there is no Sao Paulo Fashion Week. Call one or two influencers, ok – but that have to do with the brand proposal,” he concluded.
