At an altitude of about 700 meters, on the slopes of Helmos, in the mountains of Akrata there is a dreamy lake with blue waters and drowned in green.

Lake Tsivlou is located in the Municipality of Aigialia in the Prefecture of Achaia and was created in 1913, by a large landslide caused by the area and blocked the riverbed of Krathi.

The lake has a surface of about 8.3 acres and about 80 meters deep. The visitor is fascinated by the green and the view.

Today Lake Tsivou is a very important wetland that hosts many species of flora and fauna.

It is also a popular recreation and promenade destination even in winter, which many argue that with the snowy landscape the lake is even more enchanting.
